We handled the basic and detailed design as well as the construction for this store, located on the 5th floor of the Shanghai Hisamitsu Department Store, right next to the Jing’an Temple in central Shanghai. Situated with direct access to the station—making it highly convenient for visitors from both within China and abroad—the store offers the same safe, reliable services found in Japan, including professional vision testing and eye examinations.
Designed around the concept of a “community salon,” the space aims to be a welcoming environment where locals want to visit every day and feel at ease relaxing. We prioritize building trust and strong bonds, creating a place where seniors and their families can turn for advice whenever they need assistance.
