Following the renovation of the guest rooms at Nakajimaya Grand Hotel, a long-established hotel in Shizuoka, which we renovated about a year and a half ago, we designed and constructed the common areas such as the lobby, restaurant and banquet hall. We worked with artists from Shizuoka to incorporate the traditional craft techniques of Shizuoka that we incorporated into the guest room renovation into the space as art such as wood turning, tea dyeing and bamboo senjiki work. While making use of the fine details of the long-established hotel, the space features Nakajimaya’s corporate color of maroon and a logo design (designed by our company) using the letter “N” in various places.
