The “Hanare” guest room wing of the South Wing of Yaizu Grand Hotel has been renovated and reopened as the “FUJI VIEW AREA.” We were responsible for the design, planning, and construction, including the signs, artwork, and FFE. The outdoor area is now a footbath terrace with a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay, and the interior has been transformed into a playful lounge by making use of the existing large windows to create an open atrium space and arranging furniture of various designs.
Local wood, Okusuzu wood, is also used in a variety of ways, such as art panels, dining tables, and stairs.
